Business Programs

The Entrepreneur and Immigrant Investor Programs are under a moratorium since July 2011 and July 2012 respectively, with no view in sight of being re-opened.  On 19 June 2014, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (“IRCC”) announced that applications still in the backlog of the Federal Immigrant Investor Program and Entrepreneur Program were terminated. The applications that received a selection decision before 11 February 2014 would not be affected by the termination and continued to be processed to the end. But the applications where a selection decision was not made before 11 February 2014 were terminated, all fees paid to IRCC were refunded without interest, and the investment, if applicable, was also refunded.

The Quebec Investor and Entrepreneur Programs were not affected by the termination, and the Business Provincial Nominee Programs remain the same.
