Fun in The Distillery District!
If you have not already visited The Distillery District in Toronto, you definitely should! It is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, and was opened in May of 2003. The Distillery District was created with the vision of combining “the romance and relaxing atmosphere of European walking and patio districts with the hip, cool dynamic of an area like New York City’s SoHo or Chelsea, where creative minds get together and you feel as if anything could happen.” There are many events and things to do in The Distillery District, especially with the warm weather approaching!
Every Sunday, starting June 7th, until the beginning of Autumn, The Distillery Sunday Market will take place and will run from noon to 5:00pm. There will be many different vendors offering various products ranging from gourmet chocolate to local honey products! For more information on the Sunday Market, please click here.
Starting June 19th at 4:00PM, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, attracting over 500,000 people yearly, will commence its 10-day event ending June 29th at 10:00PM. Many different artists will perform live jazz music, suitable for people of all ages! For information on the Jazz Festival, please click here.
The Distillery District not only offers outdoor events and activities, but also a variety of restaurants, galleries, and small boutiques! Be sure to put “Visit The Distillery District” on your Summer 2015 bucket list!
