Immigration Expected to Boost New Brunswick’s Economy
According to a recent CBC News report, more immigrants will lead to a stronger economy for New Brunswick. Contrary to common misconceptions, they invest in countless entrepreneurial opportunities including the creation of businesses and new jobs. In addition, they also add to the workforce as employees. New Brunswick’s political leaders are urged to further develop their immigration strategies to meet this goal and to provide immigrants with the necessary resources and incentives to stay and integrate into the province. One way to achieve this is through ‘cluster immigration’, which encourages multiple families from the same source community to settle to the same destination. Since New Brunswick is currently in need of more people, jobs, and a bigger tax base, attracting more newcomers should be a priority for the province.
