Remembering Our Fallen Soldiers and More
Today, Canadians are encouraged to remember the countless women and men, past and present, who sacrificed their lives to protect our rights, freedoms, and privileges. However, a Toronto Star article argues that it is equally important that we remember the concept of peace and the numerous civilians whose lives have been impacted by wars. Though red poppies are ubiquitous at this time of the year, some Canadians may be seen wearing white poppies to symbolize peace.
