TIFF Set to Take Over Toronto in September!
With only 42 days left in the countdown until the Toronto International Film Festival kicks off in the city, the movies set to play have been named!
This year, a range of flicks will hit the screens from serious dramas to more light-hearted love stories. The line-up includes “Sicario”, a high-action thriller by Quebec’s Denis Villeneuve, Paolo Sorrentino’s “Youth” which chronicles two friends’ reflection on their past, and “Brooklyn”, a story featuring the life of an Irish woman who makes the move to America in the 1950s. These and other films that will be showing during the festival are sure to captivate audiences, and if the past is any indication, will be a success during the award season.
Aside from an opportunity to view new movies, TIFF is also a chance to star-gaze. International celebrities such as Johnny Depp could possibly be spotted walking the city streets during the festival, which runs from September 10th to the 20th –so keep your eyes (and autograph books) wide open!
