Movie Productions Making the Move Up North!

Many may associate major movie productions with Hollywood. After all, the stars, award shows, and directors are centered around the West coast. The past few years however, have gradually led to the industry’s transition up North to Canada. Toronto in particular has become a hub for TV shows, movies, and A-list actors who call the city their home while filming.

Here are a few productions currently being filmed in the city:

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2:If the title didn’t give it away, this movie is a sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Starring John Corbett and Nia Vardalos, the comedy promises to be as entertaining as the first, and is scheduled to film until June 6th.

Suits: A fan-favorite since the first episode aired, Suits is now filming its 5th season until November 13. The show chronicles the work and personal lives of those at a fictional, major corporate law firm.

Suicide Squad (Bravo 14): Featuring stars like Jared Leto, Will Smith, Viola Davis, Margot Robbie, and Scott Eastwood, this movie is based on DC Comics and is expected to be a box-office hit once released in 2016.
