Michelle OTamara graduated from the Dual J.D. program at Windsor Law in 2015, earning both an American and Canadian J.D. She earned her B.A.(Hons) from Queen’s University in Political Studies and Drama. Tamara completed her articling term as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Nunavut Court of Justice in Iqaluit, Nunavut, where the work was largely focussed in the area of criminal law. She then worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Federal Court of Canada in Ottawa, where her work focussed mostly on judicial reviews of immigration matters. Prior to joining Bellissimo Law Group, Tamara worked briefly at the African Canadian Legal Clinic as a Policy and Research Lawyer, where she had the opportunity to appear before the Supreme Court of Canada as co-counsel for the clinic as an intervenor, as well as before Parliamentary and Senate committees to present on the human rights of African Canadians.

Tamara’s professional interests lie at the intersection of  human rights, international humanitarian law and global migration.
