Canada Welcomed over 9,000 Immigrants through The Canadian Experience Class in 2012
Minister Jason Kenney announced today that Canada welcomed a record 9,353 newcomers in 2012 through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
The 9,353 immigrants through the CEC show an increase of 35% over the 2012 target of 7,000, and an increase of 55.2% from actual admissions in 2011.
The CEC is an immigration option for international graduate students and skilled foreign workers with skilled work experience in Canada. As of January 2, 2013, applicants require 12 months of full-time work experience and now have up to 36 months to earn it.
