Mario D. Bellissimo featured in the February 2014 issue of BarTalk!
Mario D. Bellissimo is featured in the February 2014 issue of the Canadian Bar Association CBABC magazine BarTalk, along with Canadian Senator Raynell Adnreychuk. Mario Bellissimo is acting Chair of the National Immigration Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association. He has appeared before Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs to argue the CBA’s position opposing regulatory changes to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), specifically Part 3 division 16 of Bill C-4. The CBA opposes the use of omnibus bills and framework legislation to pass amendments without meaningful debate; and then to award Ministers with unilateral authority to change programs without parliamentary oversight or public consultation. The CBA does support the modernizing of Canada’s immigration system to streamline the application process for economic class migrants.
