Toronto has been ranked one of the best cities in the world for millennials!
If you were born sometime between 1980 and 2000, you are considered a millennial, which means Toronto is a great city for you to live or work in!
Based on an annual millennial city ranking report by Nestpick (a youth-focused aggregator site for furnished apartment rentals), Toronto ranked 5th based on factors such as internet speed, nightlife, gender equality, immigration tolerance, university score, personal freedom and many more. Toronto had an overall score of 6.60 out of 10.
A total of 110 cities were analyzed for the ranking of this years list, using data provided by organizations like the UN, the WHO, Crunchbase, the U.S Bureau of Labour and Euromonitor.
Berlin took 1st place with an overall score of 7.14 out of 10 while Montreal took 2nd place, scoring 7.10 out of 10 due to its affordable housing, healthcare, immigration tolerance and number of annual music festivals.
Toronto scored very well in terms of local start-ups, LGBT inclusiveness, immigration tolerance and food options. Toronto’s score for housing was extremely low (2.7 out of 10) which is not surprising considering how expensive it is to live in the city.
