Mario Bellissimo testifies before the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade on Bill S-8

The amendments proposed in Bill S-8 as currently drafted appear to raise statutory equivocality, many questions, and a number of legal consequences not plainly connected to the harm the legislation intends to capture, potentially resulting in unintended outcomes. Based upon our short window of consideration, we offer the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade five recommendations that we hope will advance the study and decision making on Bill S-8.
