After his brother’s death on April 27, a Canadian Permanent Resident, currently in Portugal, tried to return to Canada to come back for the funeral. However, due to a lack of documentation, he is facing challenges coming back in time for his brother’s funeral. In an effort to highlight the deficiencies in the immigration programs, CTV News Reporter Jaime McKee consults Mario Bellissimo on the potential barriers that Canadian Permanent Residents face when they are coming back to Canada.
