Regulating timelines for IRB proceedings

• Pre-removal Risk Assessment (PRRA) function to be transferred to the IRB 1 year after implementation of the new system.

• When the PRRA function is transferred to the IRB, CIC will retain the responsibility for PRRA applications under A112 (3), requests for risk assessments under A115(1), and the processing of the remaining inventory of H&C; with risk cases.

Temporary Foreign Worker Regulation changes:

Like HRSDC, CIC officers assess genuineness of job offers, consistency with FPT agreements and employer compliance with past commitments to workers

CIC is also responsible for public list of employers ineligible to hire TFWs and cumulative duration of work permits (not exceeding four years).
