Canada’s Fun Winter Events

The upcoming winter officially starts on December 21st and though it may be unbearably cold, the weather should not deter anyone from venturing outdoors.  After all, there are several events and activities (even those held outdoors) for all to enjoy.  Some of these activities include skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, dog sledding, and snow-shoeing either on a recreational or competitive sports basis.  Meanwhile, winter events abound throughout the country including the following:

World Ski & Snowboard Festival – Whistler, British Columbia from April 10th to 19th, 2015

Montreal High Lights Festival – Montreal, Quebec from February 19th to March 1st, 2015

Niagara Icewine Festival – Niagara, Ontario from January 9th to 25th, 2015

Ice on Whyte – ice carving festival in Edmonton, Alberta from January 23rd to February 1st, 2015

Fredericton Frostival – Fredericton, New Brunswick from January 23rd to February 15th, 2015
