Celebrating The City of Toronto’s 182nd Birthday!
In honour of the city of Toronto’s 182nd birthday, CBC will be hosting an event this weekend at Yonge and Dundas square! The event will begin this Friday, March 4th, and run until Sunday, March 6th, which is considered Toronto’s birthday. There will be plenty of fun things to do, all free of charge!
The weekend will kick off with an art show called, “Art in the 6ix” (the 6ix being a nickname for Toronto given by the one and only Drake), and will showcase the work of young and talented artists in the city! The fun does not stop here though. Everyone around the GTA is welcome to come out and enjoy the outdoor activities, music, food and drinks, as well as the free giveaways!
If the cold is not quite for you, don’t worry. CBC has also provided a winter lounge to enjoy the event with a little more warmth! So come out and commemorate the beautiful city of Toronto’s past, present, and promising future!
Here are the hours of operation for this weekend’s event:
Friday, March 4: 11am- 7pm
Saturday, March 5: 10am- 6pm
Sunday, March 6: 10am- 6pm
