Changes Underway to Improve Canadian Experience Class

Minister Chris Alexander announced today that changes will be made to the Canadian Experience Class effective immediately, allowing the government to further reduce backlogs and processing times, and to continue to attract top individuals that may qualify.

To further improve efficiency within the program, CIC is introducing an annual amount of applications that will be accepted, as well as remove six particular occupations that will no longer be eligible for CEC. Further to these annual caps, there will also be limits to the number of applications for certain occupations. 200 applications will be admitted through these subcaps.
