With its official start just yesterday (on September 23rd) Fall is finally upon us! After enjoying all the fun and sun-filled activities that summer had in store, it’s time to prepare for a chiller season. However, lower temperatures don’t mean that you have to hide indoors. On the contrary, get out there and make the most of what autumn has to offer.

To get you started, here are a few activities that you can enjoy this fall in and around Toronto!

1. Prepare for apple- picking: what’s better than the scent of freshly baked apple pie? Knowing that you picked the apples. Take a trip to the country-side and grab a basket of fall’s most iconic fruit. Chudleigh’s farm is just one of many that is open to the public —click here for more details.

2. Take a scenic stroll: we all know that one of the best things about fall is when the leaves change colours. Strong shades of yellow, fiery orange, and riveting reds adorn tree-tops and make for a breathtaking view. To make the most of mother nature’s display, take a stroll through one of the city’s many parks. Rouge Park is a great place, with lots of lush foliage that is sure to showcase fall colours!

3. Check out a Farm with the Family: autumn is the perfect season to be out and about –not too hot and not too cold. It’s also a time to enjoy the fall harvest, so take a trip down to a farm. With barns, ponds, veggie gardens, and pathways, Riverdale Farm (located in the heart of the city) is definitely worth a visit. Click here for full details.

Add these to your autumn activity list and you’re set for a great season!
