Nigerian Students Deported – Mario D. Bellissimo Weighs In
Until recently, two foreign students who had been enrolled at the University of Regina, sought refuge in city churches when they learned that their brief stints working at Wal-Mart were not permitted while on student visas. They were facing a deportation order.
On Friday, they voluntarily flew back to their home country of Nigeria, hoping it would facilitate a return to Canada. Mario D. Bellissimo weighed in on the situation in an interview with CBC Radio.
