P.E.I Attracts Immigrants Through PNP Program!

New statistics show that Prince Edward Island’s growth rate increased to 3.2 percent during the latest five-year census period. This increase is largely fueled by an influx of skilled immigrants – over 8,100 between 2006 and 2011. This is in stark contrast to 1,100 immigrants during the previous five year period.

A vast majority of these immigrants arrived through the Provincial Nominee Program. The program welcomed more than 2,700 newcomers to P.E.I in 2008 and 2009 alone.
