Top 3 Canadian Parks To Visit This Summer
Have you got your discovery pass? As an homage to Canada’s 150th birthday this year, the federal government announced in January 2016 it will be offering free passes to all National Parks for 2017. Here is a list of 3 Canadian Parks you need to visit:
1. Banff National Park- Alberta
Canada’s first National Park has a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains. Home of one of the best ski slopes in the country and ideal for cycling, hiking, camping and skiing, this park is a must- see for all nature lovers.
2.Fathom Five National Marine Park – Ontario
Take the plunge into Lake Huron where you’ll find shipwrecks that lie just below the surface. Not a scuba diver? You can see everything below from a glass bottom boat! You can also find some incredible hiking trails and camping fans are welcome to the beautiful Flowerpot Island.
3.Jasper National Park- Alberta
With it’s beautiful forests and glistening lake, Jasper National Park is the world’s largest dark sky preserve. This makes it a dream place for stargazers and people who love to camp. The best time of the year to experience this gem of a park is in October for the Dark Sky Festival when locals turn down their lights and truly let the stars shine!
