Who is cute, cuddly, and 100% Canadian? Well, the Toronto Zoo’s panda cubs certainly are, and now they finally have names!

Yesterday, the first-ever giant pandas to be born in the country had their names revealed during a ceremony attended not only by the media, but also government officials such as Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Chinese Ambassador to Canada Luo Zhaohui. So, after 5 months of waiting, you may be impatiently wondering what the cubs are called. Drum roll please! Their names are Jia PanPan and Jia YueYue, which translate to Canadian Hope and Canadian Joy, respectively.

With this milestone crossed off the list, all that’s left is to count down the days until the public can visit them. For now, you can take part in the Giant Panda Experience at the Toronto Zoo, and say hello to  their mom (Er Shun) and Da Mao. For more information, click here.
